How is the world 30 years from now?

Coming to the end of this super-bizarre year 2020, gradually, things are returning to normal. The return to the routine will be slower due to post-pandemic damage. So the time is to reconnect your optimism for better years yet to come is on again. Thus, see what the futurists say for 2050.

Do you know what the difference is between futurists and futurologists?

Futurology bases on "readings" of different objects (such as crystal balls, cards, shells, the palm, etc.) or on premonitory dreams.

Futurism is the future prediction of trends and impacts. The scenario is a result of mathematical and statistical models.

Singularity is a set of futuristic anticipations, generally optimistic

Singularity is a term "borrowed" from physics by the futurist Ray Kurzweil, and it is an analogy to the singular phenomena that occur in black holes.

Some optimistic projections for 2050

 Cities

  • Population - Approximately 9.8 billion people on Earth. India overtakes China and Nigeria takes third place in the United States. The world will have older people, as never before.

  • Transportation - More than one billion electric vehicles powered by solar, gas, or organic fuel circulate on the world’s streets. Cars with combustion engines are museum or collector's pieces.
  • Schools - The face-to-face model no longer exists. The classes, via videoconference, still resist, but the trend is class via hologram. Now the teacher goes to the student and not the other way around. The teacher can be a human or a robot.
  • Residences - Artificial Intelligence fully controls the house. Each household equipment is a kind of living entity. The refrigerator, for example, says when it lacks a particular food. The Internet of Things" (IoC) connects people and objects. Soon, it will connect humans with animals and plants.
  • Fashion - You have two options in purchasing your desired outfit. Before, you can try it via hologram or assemble your favorite mold by the 3D printer.

Science and Technology

  • Neurology - The human brain has a processing capacity of about 1,026 calculations per second. This process has increased because brain code mapping is complete. The next step will be to figure out how thoughts are made.

  • Medicine - Nanobots (robots on a molecular scale) scour the human body, via capillary vessels, for diagnosis. Programmed biochips are in charge of fixing the problem. Artificial Intelligence is present in all areas of medicine.

    • Cybernetics - Human brains can connect directly to data clouds for information or memory transfer.  Its calls "Brain-Machine Implant" (BMI).

Cell phones are in the shape of a chip and can be implanted under the skin. It operates via hologram.

    • Internet - Reality is both concrete or virtual, depending on the choice of the customer. Nowadays, net speed is as fast as ever since optical cables are beneath the water, mostly in the oceans worldwide. Water functions as a conductor and as a server, as it has infinite memory to store data.

    • Astronomy - Quantum telescopes access regions of the universe never before reached by any human eye. The astronomer can even explore space in the "hologram mode,” that is, he visits in person the outer space location and wants to research.

    • Ufology - Intelligent life on other planets has not yet been scientifically proven, but the expectation is that such an official announcement shall hopefully happen later this century. Earthlings suspect that extraterrestrials probably still lack "courage" to show up themselves on this very planet.

      Environment

      • Polluters - The carbon footprint or greenhouse effect is under control because of the widespread use of alternative energies that are no longer optional but common. Since there is no longer any plastic-made material, a similar synthetic compound replaces it. It's a new global consciousness.

      • Agriculture - The Biotechnology of Vegetables, Animals, and Microbials is the area that allows the detection of outbreaks of early diseases with the use of high-level technological tools. Therefore, there is a readjustment of the agricultural workforce, even though human work is still essential and irreplaceable. Technology is also useful in climate control, especially in the dry regions of the planet. There is no more crop loss in the world in 2050.

      • Food - Nutrition is strictly individual because it is according to people's biotype. Specific devices "measure" protein personal deficiencies accurately. There is strict control in the production of transgenic foods. On the other hand, the consumption of meat in natura is low. That imposes rigid control of the birth rate of beef animals. The "cruelty-free" movement determines the rules of the animal feed market, although it is rare. Nonetheless, conscious people prefer to consume from their organic garden.

        10 scenarios that summarize 2050

        1. There will be more grandparents than grandchildren.

        2. The middle class in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa will surpass the U.S. and Europe together.

        3. Non-Western consumers will drive the global economy for the first time in modern history.

        4. There will be a more global wealth of women's property than men.

        5. There will be more robots than workers.

        6. There will be more computers than human brains.

        7. There will be more virtual currency than cash.

        8. There will be more synthetic food than natural.

        9. Birth and mortality rates will be drastically reduced.

        10. Physical work will be reduced, implying people's muscular atrophy if measures are not taken in time.
